[Maize preservation not only from the technological point of view]

This article summarizes positive and negative aspects of making maize silages and their conservation. The LKS and CCM silages and silages from mashed maize kernels are also described. Details are given on harvesting methods, use of additives, aerobic stability and feeding of silages with high acidity. Recommendations how to avoid excessive heating are provided, too.
