There are several aspects to create permanent green cover between the rows in an orchard, but it is necessary to suit it to local environmental and farming factors. Covering between the row in an orchard with lawn can be established only with irrigation if the soil type is shifting sand or any loose sand. Disadvantegous effects of the sown grass mixtures can be avoid by adequate maintenance while its biological, environmental and technical advantages can be utilized. On the basis of our results we found that good mixtures have to contain grass species with low transpiration and stoloniferous species, which can met net the upper soil by their root system to keep the soil in appropriate moisture status.
