The analysis of simple correlation between various weather factors and downy mildew revealed that there was a significant positive correlation with crop age (ryx11=0.984) and downy mildew incidence, while maximum, minimum and mean air temperatures, relative humidity recorded in the morning and afternoon, mean relative humidity and sunshine had positive and non significant correlation with downy mildew incidence. The correlation between wind velocity.rainfall and number of rainy days and disease incidence was negative and non significant. The results of multiple regression analysis show that among the various weather factors which could influence the downy mildew incidence, minimum temperature, relative humidity recorded in the morning and crop age had very high positive influence on the downy mildew disease, Relative humidity recorded in the afternoon had very high negative relationship.
