Effect of culture filtrates of Paecilomyces lilacinus isolates on hatching of Meloidogyne incognita eggs

The response of culture filtrates of Paecilomyces lilacinus isolates on hatching of Meloidogyne incognita eggs indicated its inhibitory effect on emergence of juveniles from egg masses. The highest percentage (85%) of hatch inhibition was recorded in isolate 6 and lowest (67%) in isolate 4. Considerable variations among the Indian isolates of P. lilacinus in terms of their inhibitory effect on hatching was observed. The culture filtrate treated eggs in egg masses exhibited morophological changes as deformed embryo and vacuolated eggs.
