Results of the study indicated that most of the small farmers applied higher quantities of FYM per hectare when compared to the medium and large farmers. It was observed that quantity of FYM produced and applied had strong positive correlation with number of animals possessed by the farmer, but it had a negative association with the farm size. The most important problem in using organic fertilizers was lack of its availability and difficulty in maintaining animals.
