An incubation experiment was carried out to study the effect of application of different sources and levels of lime on the changes in available nutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and S) in a Dystrochrept soil of Assam. Liming increased available N, P, K, exchangeable Ca and Mg content, whereas, it decreased available S content. The increase in availability of nutrients was more in agricultural limestone treated soils. Application of lime @ 100% lime requirement value increased all the available nutrients with the progress of incubation period except available sulphur irrespective of the sources.
