In Kazakhstan the working out of theoretical bases and methods of development of wool goats on the basis of crossing of Kazakh coarse-hair goats with goats of pridonsky, gornoaltaisky and orenburgsky breeds is carried out since 1984. At present, in the collective farm ALMAZNY of Chingirlau region of East-Kazakhstan oblast the productive qualities of mongrels of the I, II, III generations are studied, the selection of animals of the desired type is carried out and the herd of wool goats where carding of fluff from male goats makes 550, female gosts 350, goatling 200 g, length of fluff, respectively 8-9, 7-8 and 6-7 cm is formed. In further selection-and-pedigree work the selection should be made mainly by content of fluff with paying more attention to its fineness, partially at the expense of selection for decrease of fiber length.
