An integrated corn-chicken farming system was designed to develop a module of upgrading the Philippine native (PN) with Kabir breed into the farming practices of farmers at Guitawan, Arakan, North Cotabato [Philippines]. A ready to breed Kabir rooster was dispersed to 30 farmer-recipients who are practicing corn mono-cropping. Each farmer selected, from existing flock, at least ten Philippine native hens for the upgrading program. The rooster was raised together with the native hens under conventional method with corn grains as the base source of feeds. Grains harvested from corn crops composed of ration. The 30 farmer-recipients readily accepted the module of which they learned to prepare conventional feeds, adopt a vaccination program for their flocks and imbibe an upgrading scheme as a process of acquiring good genetics for their native chicken. The first eggs set by the native chicken was hatched with 9 chicks (F1) resulting from the cross of Kabir X PN. The Kabir "Native-style" Red line breed was preferred due to its "native-style" taste and texture. They achieve rapid growth with excellent feed efficiency, naturally resistant to heat and disease, and perform well on range or in confinement. These are recommended for small upgrading-dispersal programs
