Genus codium stackhouse from northern coast of the arabian sea (Pakistan)

The present work is a monograph on green algal genus (Codium Stack- house occurring on the shores of Pakistan. It describes as many as 30 species, including several new taxa and first records from the area. The description of the species is supplemented by numerous illustrations and a dichotomous key to facilitate their identification. Samples were collected from different coastal sites for over forty-five years. It is hoped, the study will serve as a reference and research guide to the phycologists working not only in Pakistan but also in the northern region of the Arabian Sea.
