The performance of some peach cultivars under Soan valley (Punjab) climatic conditions [Pakistan]

The present studies were carried out on five peach cultivars viz. Golden Jubilee, May Flower, 6-A Peach, Early Grand and Florida King at Horticultural Research Station, Soan Valley during 1997-99. Quantitatively Golden Jubilee and Early Grand cultivars performed well both in terms of fruit size and yield. Qualitative studies the superiority of Florida King in terms of a better taste, early maturity and less pest infestation. The same variety is also easy to handle and transport.
