The paper presents the results of research of the physical and value parameters of variable costs. The object of this paper is to present relevant new knowledge obtained from research data on outlays in agriculture, one of the primary concerns of a competitive agricultural business. This research is a continuation of solutions (3, 5, 6), already published, which particularly concern the identification of individual types of variable costs and the methodological and technical questions raised in establishing the rates of consumption and costs of inputs. Therefore, this paper only presents the results of selected solutions that broaden our current knowledge of physical and value parameters of variable costs, particularly for the major basic commodities in crop and animal production
