The influence of nitrogen and magnesium fertilization on above ground biomass yield of perennial grassland in small field plots has been evaluated during 1994-1998. The soil is sandy loam cambisol. The experiment was based in four treatment of fertilization (NK-fertilizing, NPK-fertilizing, NPKMg-fertilizing and non-fertilized control). The highest yield of dry matter has been obtained on the NPKMg-treatment (7.16 t.ha-1). The content of nitrogen substances and magnesium content in dry matter depends on level of different nutrients fertilization (content of crude protein was higher on treatments with nitrogen fertilization, content of magnesium on NPKMg-treatment)
