[On bees pollen storage technologies]
2001
Solomka, V.O.
Conditions of bee pollen storage are described. The storage technologies envisage maximum saving of biologically active substances contained in bees pollen. Ascorbic acid and carotenes are pointed out to be the most active antioxidants in the bees pollen. In the bee pollen samples kept at room temperature the ascorbic acid content decreases by 16.27 % on average, the carotene concentration decreases by 12.4 %, and aminoacids decompose in the course of the year. The attention is pointed at the fact that the vitamin complex changes at the most, so it is better to store bees pollen packed, in clean, dry and well aired premices with the temperature 0-10 deg C and humidity not exceeding 75.0 %. The reliable storage in vacuum package and in the inert gas environment is proposed. Bees pollen is well stored when preserved with liquid honey
