Selecting plus tree of Pinus massoniana for high wood productivity

Based on research results on the variation rule of the thickness of annual increment rings of a 58 years old Pinus massoniana stand in Tamdao site, it is permited to arrive at a conclusion that using of value of the thickness of annual increment rings for earlier selection of plus trees according to the wood production objective is possible, or which, using of sliding average value would be permited to select much earlier in comparison with using of absolute value of the thickness of annual increment rings.
