The objective of the research carried out in this experiment was to investigate the possibility of the use of 1.500 PU/kg of domestic (Yugoslav) phytase in mixtures where the phosphorus content has been reduced by 33% by excluding the phosphates and Ca:P ratio was equal in all mixtures for weaned piglets. Obtained results have once again confirmed that in mixtures without dicalcium phosphate a positive effect is achieved by adding 1.500 PU/kg of supplementary phytase in the production of weaned piglets. If supplementary phytase is introduced to mixtures without supplementary phosphates the Ca:P ratio should be kept equal.
