Content of some heavy and toxic metals in bees products and bees from Sofia, Srednogorie and Silistra regions

jecause of the lack of normative base for content of heavy and toxic metals in honey in Bulgaria, the content of Pb in analyzed samples of honey was compared with the Austria PDK standard, which is 0,25 mg/kg. In 7 of tested samples (15,6%) the value of Pb was higher. It was concluded that the veterinary sanitary control of honey is urgent in respect of the content of these technogenic contaminators and the creating of normative base for their content in honey is needed.
