The ability of a crop species to adapt to an extreme conditions plays important role for successful crop production. In general, crop species resistance to drought is expressed as its ability to grow, survive, and finally produce seed or other plant produce when the crop species is grown in drought stress conditions. The present study was done with the objective to find out whether leaf anatomical characteritics of mungbean might be used to indicate its drought stress resistance. Results of the study indicated that the two mungbean under consideration had similar drought stress resistance. Drought had no effect on mungbean leaf anatomy and hence it could not be used to identify drought resistance in mungbean
