[Breeding the male sterile line of red pepper]

The sterile lines were bred by back crossing the "Chongjin dry pepper" and "Hwanghae early pepper" to the male sterile plants found in the male sterile source line "B-62". The length of anther in the sterile lines was 66 percent of that in the support lines; the width 57.1 percent, the weight 33.3 percent and the sterile manifestation was not limited to the region. The rational arrangement ratio between the sterile line and father variety was 3:1 in the field for hybrid seed production
