Microbial activity and content of phenolic compounds in podzolic soil under winter rye cultivated in different systems

Results of 7-year field experiment set on the soil developed from loamy sands were presented. Soil under three rotations with winter rye and its monoculture were subjected to microbial and chemical analyses. Two different agrotechnical levels were another experimental factor. It was found that rye cultivation systems slightly differentiated the number of bacteria. Such effect was observed only in some combinations with simplified agrotechnics. Those systems did not affect saprophytic fungi development and Myskow fertility index. The least content of phenols was found in the soil under monoculture. Full agrotechnics caused also the decrease of those toxin concentrations in all rye cultivation systems
