The effect of yield components on the seed yield of double low winter oilseed rape was investigated in ten-year field experiment and three series of pot experiments. Number of siliques per area unit was mainly dependent on numer of siliques per plant while weight of seeds per silique was conditioned by number of seeds per silique. Regression and path coefficient analysis proved the most significant effect of number of siliques per plant and number of siliques per area unit on yield. The experiment showed that contribution of yield components in creation of the seed yield was dependent on nitrogen fertilization and water defficiency
