Effect of fungicide Topsin M70 WP (tiophanate-methyl) on the survival of some indicator bacteria and enteric pathogens in lake water

The paper deals with the effect of Topsin M70 WP on survival of Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis, Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella typhi dublin in water of a eutrophic lake used for experimental and recreational purposes. The research was carried out in the dark under laboratory conditions on non-sterilized lake water and simutaneously on lakke water sterilized by heating in autoclave with the addition of 0.05 - 20.0 mg/l of the fungicide and inoculated with a suspension of the proper test bacteria
