Effect of diversified potassium nutrition on the yielding of tomato grown in coconut fibre

The determination of macroelement and sodium accumulation was performed in the studied medium after experiment termination. The diversified content of potassium in the nutrient solution did not affect the yielding of tomato fruits cultivars Conchita and Piko grown in coconut fibre. Plants fertilized with a higher dose of potassium showed a better nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium nutritional status. In the coconut medium there occurs a strong accumulation of nutrients increasing drastically the salinity in the root zone of plants
