Content of some organic components in fruit of less known fruit plants

Fruit of Elaeagnus multiflora Thunb., Amelanchier ovalis and Padus serotina L. was collected from three growing in the Experimental Garden of the Dept. of Horticulture, UWM Olsztyn in the year 2000. The content of organic acids and sugars in fruit of the above plants was determined by gas chromatography. The paper presents also a botanical description of the species examined and the application of their fruit in herbal treatment
