The studies were concluded for the period of 3-4 years on deposit plots, where Sida hermaphroita Rusby, Helianthus thuberosus and Salix viminalis were planted, and control plots - deposit with no plants and with the soil of light alluvial soil, on which the deposit plot was estabilished. The biochemical analyses referred to the intensity of ammonification and nutrification processes, intensity of CO2 relase and the activity of dehydrogenases. The results showed that the experimental plants made the intensity of the ammonification process slower. Some of the examined plants (Sida hermaphroita R. and Helianthus thuberosus) inhibited the intensity of the nutrification process while others (Salix viminalis) increased its activity. The experimental plants stimulated CO2 relase and the activity of dehydrogenases in varying degrees. In the initial period of the studies higher activity of the examined processes was also observed
