Possibilities of modifying of spring triticale canopy by sowing rate and nitrogen fertilization

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of sowing rate and nitrogen fertilization on grain yield, yield components and canopy architecture of spring triticale cultivar Migo. The largest grain yield was obtained in case of sowing rate 400 kernels per square m and nitrogen fertilization dose of 120 kg N per ha. The experiment factors modified the canopy architecture of spring triticale, mainly by effect on plant number per square m, ear number and percentage of plants with different number of tillers and shoot lenght
