Influence of the hypolimnion water withdrawal from Lake Kortowskie on the Kortowka River

The Kortowka River was investigated which directly receives the hypolimnion water from Lake Kortowskie. Thermal and oxygen conditions were examined, as well as phosphorus and nitrogen content on the individual sections of the river. It has been observed that the hypolimnetic withdrawal has an immediate impact on the initial section of the river while the physico-chemical parameters downstream are more dependent on the influence of the watershed and processes in the river than on the way of water removal from the lake
