Data collected during three years of observations on length distribution of pearch concentrations in the Pomerania Bay are presented. The distributions were determined from catches obtained during trial fishing with 20 mm codend mesh size demersal trawl. The set of data concerns catches made during pre-spawning (February - March) and post spawning (late May - June) periods as well as during the time when summer concentrations turned into winter ones (November). The latter were found to consist almost exclusively of regular-sized perch. Smaller perch enter the Bay after spawning, which brings about substantial changes in the catch length distribution. During summer, the catches contain a high proportion of undersized (smaller than 17 cm) perch. Within June-November, the distribution mode is shifted towards longer fish
