Stompor-Chrzan, E. (Rzeszow University (Poland). (Dept. of Agroecology)
The activity of 2.5 percent aqueous solutions prepared from bark of common oak, common horsechesnut, hazel, white willow, as well as leaves of folded blackberry, walnut, black currant and aspen damping-off fungi of leguminous plant seedlings was tested in an in vitro experiment. Tested fungi were: Alternaria alternata, Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium culmorum, Fusarium solani and Rhizoctonia solani. The results indicated that extracts of bark of horsechesnut and leaves of black currant had the strongest antifungal activity. The A. alternata was the most sensitive fungi species, which reacted to all tested extracts
