In the paper effect of soil drought on accumulation of cyclitols, galactosyl cyclitols and raffinose family oligosaccharides in yellow lupin seeds. The plants responded to water deficit by increasing the accumulation of polyols, and in particular their cyclic forms: myo-inositol, chiro-inositol and D-pinitol. Under drought the content of galactosytol cyclitols increased both in cotyledon and in embryonic axes. Of all the chemical components, ciceritol and galactinol were accumulated most intensively. A different trends was noticed in respect of raffinose family oligosaccharides. Drought caused no change in accumulation of verbascose, but it increase the content of stachylose and raffinose
