The Proceedings of the Workshop included the following subjects: The actual situation of the rainfed agriculture in the arid and semi-arid zones and its improvement, situation of cereal culture in these regions, the climatic factors in arid zones, preparation of soil, technical and economical effect of chemical pesticides, improvement of agricultural systems and the role of animal production, and methods of technology transfer to farmers.
