The mineral occurrence "Bobolos", near Brza Palanka, eastern Serbia (FR Yugoslavia) is the first and, for now, the only mineral occurrence of the corundum mineral on the terrotory of the Fed. Rep. of Yugoslavia. At the same time it's very rich occurrence of minerals of silimanite group which still is not exploited on these territories. These things, such as the unique mineral paragenesis and the storm scientific challenge to explain its origin and genesis, is the reason to protect what is left of it as a geological object of the unique value.
