Variety as a factor providing processing quality of commercial wheat

Examinations in this paper included the most spread wheat varieties in commercial production in Vojvodina and Serbia (Serbia&Montenegro). Research findings of the observed varieties were compared to their average quality potential based on several years of data obtained from variety trials to point out the deviation between quality of wheat crop 2001 and the quality of the wheat varieties. Examination of besatz composition pointed out the possible causes of deviations between the quality and the potential of the varieties.
