Investigation of hydropneumatic sprayer air flow

Investigated hydropneumatic sprayer prototype is the result of its development at Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Serbia&Montenegro. Prototype project of this machine enclosed the main demand parameters: working width 8 m, air flow 15,000 cubic meter/h, air velocity on the exit of distributer chambers 45 m/s, and engaged power for ventilator working circuit drive 12.1 kW. With frequency of duble strea centrifugal ventilator working circuit revolution 1,700/min it is established: air velocity on the exit of chambers air holes 52.3 m/s. Uniformity of air distribution acrose working width was good (variation coefficient of air velocity on the 72 holes was 5.26%). It is confirmed that the power for ventilator working circuit drive is 19.7 kW and estremely retires from projected power of 12.1 kW.
