Comparative evaluation of two methods for determination of proteinase inhibitory activity of actinomycete

The results obtained by the "plate assay" are negative towards both enzymes. There was an interesting phenomenon by the strain S. albogriseolus 444, which was proved by both methods. Its variant, active in the synthesis of antibiotic substances, produces PI against trypsin and subtilisin BPN', whereas the non-active variant produces PI only against subtilisin.
