Review is about the history and the present state of the problem concerning the orchard density. Morphological characters of apple tree habit in intensive orchards, light regime in them and the reaction of basic organs to the change of growing conditions are presented in the paper. The study results as to photosynthesis productivity of apple leaves depending on orchard type are given
