Results of a threeyear research of meroplankton in the maturing ponds with larvae Chironomidae at the early stage of its development using different methods of fishery engineering are given. The conclusion on the improvements of the trofic conditions of the fingerlings of the reared fish due to the increase of the meroplankton biomass as a result of engineering measures was made
