[The use of gene-markers in swine selection]

Proceedures have been developed of revealing gene-markers which influence some useful traits of pigs. Stress susceptibility is related to ryanodine receptor (Ryr 1); fertility is affected by estrogen (ER) and intramuscular fat is controlled by fatty acids protein - bound gene (H-FABR). These gene-markers have been found in the largest part of pigs of the main breeds examined in our investigation
