[Development of higher water vegetation in tributaries of the main rivers of Belarus]

Degree of mouth overgrowing of 31 tributaries of the main rivers of Belarus by higher water vegetation is studied. Species composition, phytomass and macrophyt production are determined. The weak role of these characteristics in the processes of self-purification of water currents is noted. The measures are proposed for intensification of processes of the river self-purification
