The impact of the EU support measures to Estonian agriculture

Estonia is on its way to the European Unoion (EU). With the accession the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) will play an important role in the agricultural policy of Estonia. This research paper will provide an overview of the support measures paid in Estonia and the support measures under the current CAP and reformed CAP. The objective of the paper is to bring out the effects that the different support measures have on Estonian agriculture. The basis for the calculations is the Eurostat methodology of Economic Accounts for Agriculture (EAA) that shows the sector results of agriculture
