Environmental issues and the common agricultural policy

Rural development is of second importance of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), with more emphasis on environmental respect. We examine the influence of the CAP on the environment. The implementation of agri- environmental measures on state level should lead to the reduction of agricultural pollution and maintain environment. The problem is that agri-environmental payments have remained relatively small to provide desired effect
