Translocations of 2,4-D - C-14 herbicides in weed and rice plant on irrigated rice field system

The investigation of translocation 2,4-D herbicides using C-14 as tracer on irrigated rice plant system. Condition of the soil was two kinds, that is normal soil and solid 30 percent upnormal. The soil of rice field was spray with 1 micro Ci of 2,4-D - C-14 and 0.4 non labelled, one week after planting. A parts of rice plant and weed determined the radioactivity after 0, 2, 4, 8, and 10 weeks after spraying. The result showed that radioactivity maximum after zero week was in root and leaf of weeds, the second weeks in root of rice, the fourth weeks in rice stick, and eight weeks in leaf of rice. This result occur at normal condition soil or solid 30 percent upnormal soil. The residues of 2,4-D in rice was 4,24 x 10 at the power of -3 ppb at normal soil and 3.16 x 10 at the power of -3 ppb at solid 30 percent upnormal soil. This result still lower than rate of WHO/FAO, that is 0.05 ppm./Telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap translokasi herbisida 2,4-D dengan menggunakan perunut C-14 pada tanaman padi dan tanaman gulma pada sistem persawahan. Kondisi tanah dilakukan 2 macam yaitu tanah normal dan tanah dengan kepadatan 30 persen di atas normal. Kedua macam kondisi tanah tanaman padi tersebut disemprot dengan 2,4-D - C14 sebanyak 1 mikro Ci ditambah dengan 0,4 mg herbisida 2,4-D non radioaktif 1 minggu setelah tanam. Bagian-bagian dari tanaman padi dan gulma ditentukan radioaktivitasnya pada selang waktu 0, 2, 4, 8, dan 10 minggu (panen), setelah waktu penyemprotan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa radioaktivitas 2,4-D tertinggi pada minggu ke-0 terjadi pada akar dan daun gulma, pada minggu ke-2 pada akar padi, pada minggu ke-4 pada batang padi dan pada minggu ke-8 terjadi pada daun padi. Hal ini terjadi baik pada kondisi tanah normal maupun tanah dengan kepadatan 30 persen di atas normal. Kandungan residu herbisida 2,4-D pada hasil panen padi adalah sebesar 4,24 x 10 pangkat -3 ppb pada tanah normal dan 3,16 x 10 pangkat -3 ppb pada tanah yang dipadatkan. Hasil ini masih berada dibawah ambang batas yang diizinkan oleh WHO/FAO sebesar 0,05 ppm.
