Metribuzin - an excellent alternative to isoproturon for weed control in wheat

Metribuzin is a quite useful herbicide for controlling the Phalaris minor Retz., wild oat Avena ludoviciana Dur. and many broad-leaved weeds. The results obtained on individual and combined effect of metribuzin dose, spray volume and time of application the prevalent weed flora in wheat field across the country and workable economics of its application in the field showed better performance when compared with Isoproturon, Sulfosufuron, Clodinagoppropargyl and Fenoxaprop p-ethyl.
