Bio-efficacy of some eco-friendly insecticides againstdiamondback moth, Plutella xylostella

Susceptibility of different larval irtstars of DBM to leaf residues to different novel as well as eco-friendly insecticidal formulations of lufenuron, diafenthiuron, endosulfan and (neem seed kernel extract) NSK.E, individually at their recommended concentrations was evaluated in the laboratory. The cumulative mean per cent mortality varied from 80.00 to 96.67 per cent among I5', 2nd and 3"Mnstars larvae of DBM up to 96 to 120 hours of insecticidal exposure. The pupae formed (from 4lh instar larvae which were treated with lufenuron, diafenthiuron and NSKE) into immature forms and died in pupal stage. The results obtained were of indicative ttmt the insect growth regulators and neem products can give an effective control of DBM.
