In an experiment conducted at Division of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, Dharwad on fruit development and fruit quality in Sapota cultivars revealed that, fruit length and fruit diameter differed significantly during all the stages of development and followed double sigmoid pattern of fruit growth. With respect to quality parameters viz., reducing sugar, non-reducing sugar and total sugars, the cultivars differed significantly. The cv. DHS-1 excelled over other cultivars and also showed lower starch content, indicating the maximum conversion of starch to sugars and the cv. Cricket Ball recorded lower values for sugars.
