Application of 25% higher than nonnal seed rate significantly increased the grain and straw yield, nitrogen uptake by grain and straw, potassium uptake by straw and net retums (Rs./ha) over nonnal seed rate (100 kg/ha). The highest net returns of Rs. 22469.50/ha were recorded in case of 25% higher seed rate than nonnal seed rate. Significantly higher grain (47.80 q/ha) and straw yield (66.33 q/ha), N, p and K uptake by grain and straw and net returns (Rs. 23695.77/ha) were recorded by cross sowing which was higher over line sowing. Among varieties, Lok-1 variety recorded the highest grain (46.87 q/ha), straw yield (65.37 q/ha), N, p and K uptake by grain and straw and net returns. (Rs. 23059.08/ha). Variety Lok-1 recorded 3.22 and 10.41 in grain yield, 5.79 and 8.05 in straw yield and 4.40 and 13.23% in net returns higher over GW-190 and Raj. 3077.
