With the increase in &itrogen levels, tree growth in terms of height and spread increased significantly. Number of fruits per tree also increased with the application of higher levels of nitrogen. However, 800 and 1200 9 nitrogen levels were found statistically at par with each other. Fruit length and volume were maximwn with 800 g nitrogen. Fruit pressure decreased, whereas ascorbic acid and reducing sugar contents increased with the increasing levels of nitrogen. Fruit diameter, pulp seed ratio and non-r&ucing sugars were not affected by different levels of nitrogen. The effect of different levels of phosphorus and potassium was non-significant on all the growth, yield and quality parameters.
