The aim of the multi-year experiment was to evaluate the effect of fertilizing with pig slurry, farmyard manure and mineral fertilizers on the quality of potato bulbs. It was stated that the application of pig slurry at doses balanced with farmyard manure and mineral fertilizers in relation to the amount of nitrogen applied, had a positive effect on the content of total and protein nitrogen and did not cause an excessive accumulation of nitrate nitrogen. The application of slurry at doses balanced with farmyard manure in relation to the amount of carbon applied resulted in a considerable increase in the content of nonprotein nitrogen and endogenic aminoacids
