The aim of the article is the analysing of different aspects of development of entrepreneurial activity in the rural areas in Poland during transition. Because of disproportion in the development between rural and urban areas and luck of financial capital to start up business or to develop of its scale the external support is necessary. The state agencies and non-public organizations support the enterprises. They do it in directly way (financial support for enterprises) and in indirectly way as a creation of circumstances to setting and running of enterprises
