The paper presents the results of studies on the effects of the fat content on plant material density during compression and pressing, as well as density and hardness of the agglomerate. The experimental material were wheat and rape mixtures (fat content: 1.5 - 44.1 percent). It was found that a higher fat content results in lower density of plant material in the chamber of a pressing unit for characteristic points of compression and pressing curves and the compressed agglomerate. It also reduces agglomerate hardness
