These Proceedings include a review of the progress and achievements made during 2002, an assessment of the impact and sustainability of the project, identification of the gaps and constraints in the light of logframe, the development of a comprehensive work plan for 2003 and the definition of a proposal for ADB funding, as well as a proposal for in situ conservation of tropical fruits for UNEP/GEF funding . The discussions focused attention on the need for greater regional collaboration for efficient and effective conservation and use of tropical fruit genetic resources in the region.
